Atlanta hosts numerous fun-filled events on Independence Day, but the most anticipated is the Fourth of July Celebration that takes place at Centennial Olympic Park in the heart of Downtown Atlanta. Centennial Olympic Park is also the location for several of the year’s top concert series, special events and other free activities open to the public. Billed as “Atlanta’s Best Fireworks Display,” the Fourth of July celebration is an all day event that draws thousands of visitors and locals to the park to experience festivities, entertainment and food.
This fun-filled day of celebration features several kid friendly events available such as the Fountain of Rings, which allows children to splash around in a beautiful display of Olympic themed waterworks. For those attendees who prefer to stay dry, there are arts and crafts, face painting, stilt walkers and performances which are sure to keep everyone in great spirits.
Around five in the afternoon, the free musical entertainment begins with911 , an R&B cover band with high energy and musical talent leading the way. A performance by Edens Edge follows which provides attendees with a taste of country/pop and so much more.
